My kids love coming here! My daughter enjoys the train bring her drink to her the most
MoreGood food and decent service.. no one came to check in on us and we had to ask for plates and napkins. Otherwise a good place to eat
MoreGone here since a kid, always nice to see the trains go by.
Made our pizza just the way we like it
Not very clean, food was ok. Need to update this place
DELICIOUS pizza and wonderful atmosphere! I love the delivery train!!!
This was my first time to the Avon station. I usually visit the one on Bluff Road. Entirely different experience, except the booths and train. You seat yourself, push a button at the table, which had nothing telling you do that, and then you order through a speaker. Your drinks do still come on a train, but you're told through the speaker when your food is ready, and you go up yourself to get it from the window. The main reason I wanted to visit that day was because I wanted a salad, and theirs are the best, IMO. Upon looking at the menu picture though, Avon and Bluff Road have entirely different salads. Bluff has shredded lettuce (my favorite), but Avon had more of a lettuce/cabbage mixture. I didn't end up getting a salad. I ordered the bread sticks though, which I found to be amazingly delicious. The pizza tasted the same as Bluff, thankfully, so that was good too.
MoreGreat little pizza place for both friends and family with custom half and half ordering for any pizza size. Decent pricing and great bread sticks. Been using this location for 4 years.Edit 7/14/2020 please open your closed section to allow more options for customers during your policy enforcement
MoreMy kids love this place. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks. I thought the train was broken. While waiting, my son laid down on the bench and started counting how many piles of gum we're stuck under the table. I stopped him at 50. I didn't look to confirm but wonder what the kitchen looks like if they never scrape old gum off of the bottom of their tables. Food is so-so and bland - just the way my kids like it. And, people, they have napkins. Throw your gum away instead of sticking it under the table!
MoreService was great and my kids loved the train. The pizza was just okay. It was served hot and quickly.
MoreAlways a good product!
Best pizza around the bbq sauce is on point
The atmosphere was great. Food was fresh and quality was good. The flavors was not as good as another location that I frequent. It is worth trying if you have never been just to see if you like their choices of flavors.
MorePizza was average, tables were clean, kids loved the drinks arriving on the train
MoreI went in with really high hopes of an awesome experience. The only thing actually served on the trains were the drinks. The rest was hand delivered to the table. The pizza was a joke. Small and tasted like it was popped in the microwave. I've been to my fair share of other Pizza Kings across Indiana but this is one of the worst.
MoreYum! We loved it. Thanks
I used to really enjoy pizza king as a kid. Not sure if my tastes have shifted or if the pizza isn't as good as I remember. The staff wasn't too pleasant but our order was hot and quick. If you've got kids or like the large private booths it's a pretty okay place to eat. If you're craving pizza you can get a tastier slice for cheaper elsewhere.
MoreMy family has eaten here since I was a child. Now we take our kids there and we live out of state. The train is always a nice touch. It's quiet, and calm even with kids. Food is good as always.
MoreEnjoyed taking our grandchildren there for pizza and salad as it brought back memories of doing it 25 years ago with our kids. The train delivering drinks is still a huge hit. Pizza King Pizza and Pizza King Salad are always tasty.
MoreGreat news everyone, I am only kicked out until 2021 mid June. It's not a permanent thing. Just a break we both need. So get ready to throw me a party for my return in 298 days 14 hours and 4 minutes
MoreOrder a P.K salad. It was so messed up. Look like someone was eating it and they give it to me. There was a fork in the salad and the dressing was already on it. Normally No fork in the salad and dressing is on the side and a container.
MoreVery friendly staff who are quick to correct any mistakes made. Great place for kids. Reasonably priced food.
MoreFav place for pizza!
Pizza King is one of my favorite places. The Texas BBQ has been my favorite sandwich for the last 35+ years. Nobody makes it as good as they do. Tonight, I had the best one yet. Don't know if it was the workers or what but tonight's sandwich and pizza was awesome. Great Job!!
MorePizza had way to much salt on it.. not like other pizza king I have had before.... Will not go back...
MoreAn Avon classic! Always great food and great service. My only complaint is once in a while I will get a pizza that is super salty. That needs to be addressed. Make every pizza with measured ingredients so the quality is always the same.
MorePizza is ok and kids like the toy train that brings your drinks but I couldn't finish the taco salad. You also have to walk up to the counter for your food so no reason to leave a tip.
MoreThis place has been around for as long as I remember. The service has always been the same...pretty mediocre at best. If they do get your order wrong they will correct it but don't expect attentive staff to cater to your every need. Over the years the place has gone downhill in terms of decor and now is generally looking pretty rundown. It's not a bad place to eat but is not my first choice. Given the competition in town it seems like the owner's would do a better job of taking care of the place and bringing back the charm that this place once had.
MoreIt's been quite awhile since I have been here (I would say 3-5 years maybe). Had it tonight and it was good. Pizza was good. Bread sticks we not salty, a little buttery but very good! Why the 4 stars was because of drinks (got them late). Other than that, a rather good experience. Last time they had the small box TVs but they upgraded to small flat ones now and ours didn't work though. Again why 4 stars.
MoreI've been coming here for almost 30 years. Food is great, the building is getting a bit rundown now, but still tastes great.
MoreVery nice and positive experience . A+. Will be back
Love their pizza, a bit on pricey side but worth it.
Food was great as usual! Little concerned about how all the lights were out in dining room. We ate at 8.
MorePizza was fresh, hot and loaded with toppings. Staff was friendly and establishment was clean. Been going here for years and definitely recommend.
MoreMy son is 2 and loves trains. The booths look like train engines. Drinks are delivered on a small train from the kitchen. My son loved it! We will definitely go back again. Very friendly staff.
MoreFood was good but the service however was seriously lack luster. The southport and bluff location is wayyyyy better.
MoreWe all had a great time at my grandsons birthday party 🌋🎉🌋😎✌🏿🇺🇸
MorePossibly the rudest service, and pizza burnt half the time. when it's right though, it good enough to deal with the rude service
MoreVery good pizza- I like small chopped up ingredients, but its more $ than Donatos, Pizza Hut or HotBox ($26 for LG deluxe -aka a supreme at PizzaHut). See pic with pizza prices. Remodeling inside- looks good so far.
MoreRude employees and dirty building.
Always good service, and great food. Plus, the railroad memorabilia is cool to look at, as well as the "G"scale model train & flat car that deliver ur drinks to ur table.
MoreGreat pizza, as always!
My son loves this place. The pizza is good and my son can watch TV and watch the trains go by. It's awesome he loves it so much
MoreHad a great experience today for lunch! Staff was very friendly and helpful! After we ordered a gentleman came to explain we would get a better deal and pizza if we switched our order and he was right! It was delicious and we did not wait long at all. Pizza king can be pricey at times, but it was very reasonable today. Will be back for sure!
MoreWe love Pizza King! Reminds me of my childhood, and allows me the chance to share it with our daughter! It's in desperate need of updating and upholstery repairs, but we still enjoy coming here!
MoreThis was my first visit to such an iconic legendary Indiana specific pizzeria. Great place for kids. Food was good but not Italian. "strombolli" was just a twist of the real thing. It was good, but was more like pizza bread stick or pizza sandwich. A little train delivered our drink! For $0.25 you can watch TV at your booth. Each booth is a different cable car in this Train designed facility.
MoreWas intrigued by the model train delivery of the drinks, which is what drew me to bring my family here in the first place. The intrigue turned completely sour when the pizza arrived. Crumbled pepperoni??? Who does that anymore? The pizza was so salty and oily that we had to keep going back for napkins. My girls (who are notorious pizza gobblers...even frozen Totino's pizzas) had one piece and started telling me how full they were. It was cut Chicago style, so I knew that they disapproved. They couldn't even hold it in there hands because the crust was so soggy it kept slipping through their fingers. Very disappointed. Provided a couple of pics to document our experience. It was a 16" pepperoni sausage, and you can see that most of it was just left to die on the cardboard slab that it arrived on. We went to McDonald's afterward in an attempt to cleanse our palates...and I hate McDonald's...Update...they took all my pics off, bit I uploaded one I still had.
MorePretty good food, and the service is always quick. And of course who doesn't love the train delivering your drinks!
MoreMe and my kids got up from the table and went upfront to play games came back to our table and all our food was thrown away! They remade the pizza but wouldn’t replace my two orders of breadsticks and all the cheese cups I paid .98 for! So rude
More
